Enrollment and Eligibility

What happens if you don't enroll?

If you are a new employee, your benefits become effective the 1st of month following 30 calendar days. To initiate coverage, you are required to enroll online or call the Benefits Service Center within 45 days of your hire date. Failure to do so will result in waived benefits until the next Annual Enrollment.

What’s New and Changing for 2024

  • Premium Reduction: Our benefit program changes will offset healthcare inflation, resulting in lower medical premiums. This is a unique opportunity that allows us to enhance the value of our benefit plan.
  • Voluntary Insurance Provider Change: Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accident coverage are shifting to Lincoln Financial Group with no change in coverage.
  • Dental Plan Enhancements: Improved sealant benefits, expanded molar coverage, and adding Evidence-based Integrated Care.
  • Vision Plan Enhancement: New coverage for non-Rx sunglasses and blue light reading glasses.
  • Increased Voluntary Life Insurance: Coverage extended from 1-4x to 1-8x annual base pay, with no need for Evidence of Insurability (EOI) for one level increase at each Annual Enrollment.
  • New Pharmacy Benefits Manager: Transitioning from Navitus and BirdiRx to Carelon, which is part of Anthem. Rx ID card will be consolidated with your Anthem ID card; new cards will be issued.
  • HSA Contribution Increase: Maximum contribution of $4,150 (individual) and $8,300 (family) in 2024, with employer contributions moving to semi-annual.
  • Medical FSA Contribution Increase: Maximum contribution raised to $3,050, with a higher rollover amount of $610.
  • Dependent Verification: Required for new dependents not previously part of the plan. All benefit additions require submission, review, and approval of documentation.
  • HRA Plan Transition: Balance moving to Limited Purpose HRA (LPHRA) available through December 31, 2028, for dental, vision and post-deductible medical expenses.
