New Hire Checklist

If you are a newly eligible employee enrolling in benefits for the first time, you have 30 days from your hire date or date in an eligible status to enroll.

Review this virtual benefits fair, or your Owner's Manual, which can be found in the Reference Center of the 2024 U.S. SPX benefits portal, to learn more about default coverage. Follow the steps below to learn more about your benefit options and start your enrollment.

Review Your Options

Throughout your employment with SPX, you will have several points when you can (and should!) enroll in your SPX benefits. Generally, you may change your 401(k) elections and Health Savings Account (HSA) elections at any time. If you are a new hire, or if you are newly eligible for benefits, you will have 30 days from your hire date to enroll. Review the Helpful Enrollment Tools available to you.

Decide Who to Cover

You can choose which dependents you want to cover as you enroll. You will need to provide each dependent's legal name, Social Security number, and birth date. Note: You will also be required to verify your relationship to your chosen dependent(s). See Step 4 for more information.

Enrolling Online Is Easy!

Follow the steps below to complete your enrollment transaction.

1. Log in to the SPX benefits portal in one of two ways:

  • Via the SPX Okta Home Page (spxcorp.okta.com): Click on the 2024 U.S. SPX Benefits Portal tile to log in through Single Sign-On (SSO). No further registration steps are needed.
  • Register for the SPX benefits portal (www.MySPXbenefits.com): You will need to create a Username and Password and then follow the online instructions to register. The case-sensitive Company Key is SPX. Once completed, you can log in using your new credentials.

2. Once you are logged in, click the Start Here button at the top of the Home page. Go through each step to choose your elections, add your eligible dependents, and complete your enrollment.

3. Once you have reviewed your elections, click Approve to continue. Your enrollment isn’t complete until you confirm your benefit elections and cost by clicking I Agree. Next, you will receive your Confirmation Number, which you can also access in your Message Center. You can print your Benefit Summary for your records from this page.

4. Check your To Do list following your enrollment to ensure there are no additional steps you need to take to complete your enrollment. For example, if you are adding a spouse/domestic partner or dependent, you will need to upload additional information before they are covered.
