On Jan. 1, 2026, we will introduce Spring Health, replacing our current Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through ComPsych and Modern Health. Spring Health’s unified approach means that whether you are seeking counseling, coaching or digital wellness resources, everything is available in one place. Spring Health offers several mental health services for employees and their eligible dependents, including:
- 10 counseling sessions per year
- 10 coaching sessions per year
- Streamlined appointment scheduling
- Guided meditations and other digital self-help tools through a Moments library
- 24/7 Care Navigation & Crisis Support via chat, phone or email

Why is Intel changing to Spring Health?

When will this change take place?
- The transition will occur on Jan. 1, 2026. You'll receive detailed information about Spring Health and resources, including transition of care in the coming weeks.
Will I lose access to the current Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits Intel provides before Spring Health begins?
- No. Your current EAP benefits through ComPsych and Modern Health will be available until Dec. 31, 2025. After that, EAP benefits will be available through Spring Health.
What is EAP?
- EAP stands for the Employee Assistance Program, a free confidential service offered by Intel to support personal and work-related challenges. It provides resources such as counseling, legal and financial work-life services, and crisis intervention to support the mental health of employees and eligible dependents.
I'm seeing a therapist or coach through Modern Health or ComPsych. What happens to my care?
If you're currently in care, you have several options:
- Complete your authorized sessions with your current provider by Dec. 31, 2025.
- Transition to Spring Health on Jan. 1, 2026, and if they are in Spring Health’s network, continue care with your existing provider.
- Transition to a new provider in Spring Health's network with assistance from a Care Navigator.
I have upcoming appointments scheduled through Modern Health or ComPsych. Should I cancel them?
- No, please keep your scheduled appointments. Any sessions authorized before the transition date can be completed through Dec. 31, 2025.
Will onsite EAP counselor services still be available?
- Onsite EAP counseling will continue to be available however, the counselors and schedules may change as a result of the transition to Spring Health. More information will be available when schedules and resources are finalized.
What benefits does Spring Health provide?
Spring Health offers several enhancements including:

How many counseling sessions do I have access to with Spring Health?
- The EAP benefit includes 10 counseling sessions and 10 coaching sessions per year with Spring Health.
Do I need to take action during 2026 Annual Enrollment to enroll in EAP benefits through Spring Health?
- No, all eligible employees will automatically have access to EAP benefits through Spring Health beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
Can my dependents use Spring Health services?
Yes, your eligible dependents* are eligible for Spring Health. Accounts for eligible dependents under the age of 18 are managed by parents, who may share login credentials with the child if deemed appropriate. Subject to state and country laws on consent, some child and teen dependents may be allowed to create their accounts and follow care recommendations independently. Once their account is created, they can begin their healthcare journey, find a therapist, and schedule and manage their appointments.
- Eligible dependents age 5 and under: Parents can access Family Care Navigation, which provides emotional support, care recommendations, and family guidance.
- Therapy: Parents/guardians can schedule therapy for ages 6+
- Coaching: Parents/guardians can schedule coaching for ages 13+

COBRA Information
My current COBRA coverage provides access to ComPsych, will that be discontinued? If yes, when?
- ComPsych will be available until Dec. 31, 2025. On Jan. 1, 2026, your COBRA coverage will include access to Spring Health for you and your eligible dependents at no cost.
Do I need to take action during 2026 COBRA Annual Enrollment to continue access to EAP through Spring Health in 2026?
- No, if you are currently enrolled in ComPsych EAP COBRA and your COBRA coverage period extends into 2026, no action is required during COBRA Annual Enrollment.
I am currently enrolled in Modern Health COBRA and make monthly premium payments for access to Modern Health, will I be able to maintain access after Jan. 1, 2026?
- No, Modern Health will be discontinued on Dec. 31, 2025, and will no longer be available, even through personal payment. Your Modern Health COBRA coverage and premium payments will end automatically on Dec. 31, 2025.
Is there a monthly COBRA premium to access Spring Health?
- No, in 2026, as long as you are enrolled in EAP COBRA, coverage will include access to Spring Health at no additional cost.
