Medical Plan Cost Updates

Health care costs continue to rise across the nation. While Regeneron will continue to absorb much of these costs, you will see a 5% increase to your bi-weekly medical plan contributions in 2026.

Some deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums and copays will be increasing as well, depending on which plan you choose.

Prescription Drug Updates

  • Maintenance Drugs: Beginning January 1, 2026, all maintenance medications must be filled in 90-day supplies and at a participating Maintenance Choice pharmacy or though CVS mail order. If you currently use a pharmacy that is not affiliated with Maintenance Choice, you will need to switch to a preferred pharmacy for full coverage.
  • What is a maintenance drug? A maintenance medication is medicine taken regularly to manage long-term health issues, prevent diseases from getting worse, and help people stay healthy. Click here to review a list of Maintenance Drugs*.

Maintenance Choice Pharmacies:

  • CVS
  • Kroger
  • Costco
  • If you're uncertain whether the medication you're taking is classified as a maintenance drug, you can contact CVS Customer Care at 888-626-1109 for assistance. They can provide clarification and help address any questions you may have.

  • Specialty Drugs: Beginning January 1, 2026, any specialty medications will need to be filled through CVS Specialty Pharmacy.

  • What is a Specialty Drug? A specialty drug is used to treat serious or rare health conditions. It often needs special handling, monitoring, or administration and is usually available through specific pharmacies or providers.

Saving and Spending Accounts

Maximums for the Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Commuter Benefit are increasing for 2026.

Health Savings Account - $4,400 Individual / $8,750 Family Health Care FSA - $3,400 Dependent Care FSA - $7,500 Commuter Benefit - $340

401(k) Savings Plan

Contributions limits are projected to increase. However, official rates for 2026 have not been announced by the IRS, but projected rates for 2026 are as follows:

For employees under 50: The limit will increase by $1,000 to $25,000 in 2026.

For employees aged 50 and over: The standard catch-up contribution will increase to $8,000 in 2026

For employees aged 60 to 63: A special "super" catch-up contribution will increase to $11,250 in 2026. This replaces the standard catch-up contribution; it is not in addition to it.
