Pre-Medicare Medical Plans
- All Sandia Pre-Medicare medical plan premiums will increase.
- There will be a $300 co-pay for ER Visits for the Sandia Total PPO.
- There will be increases to the Deductibles for the Sandia High Deductible Health Plan (Sandia HDHP).
- There will be an additional Prescription tier for GLP-1s for weight loss.
Medicare Medical Plans
- Medicare Health Reimbursement Account (Medicare HRA) funding will increase.
- UHC and Kaiser Medicare plan premiums will decrease.
- Humana Medicare plan premiums will stay the same.
- The Humana Medicare Plan will now be open to all Medicare eligible participants.
Dental Plan
- There will be an increase to Dental Plan premiums for certain enrollment tiers.

Reminder

Notice to LLNL – Sandia Dual Retirees
The Medicare Health Reimbursement Account funding exception for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories will be discontinued as of January 1, 2027. Medicare HRA Participants that qualified for this exception prior to 1/1/2027 will be grandfathered for this exception as long as they remain enrolled in the Medicare HRA. If they move to a Sandia Group Plan or disenroll completely and then return to the Medicare HRA, they will need to qualify based on the requirements in place at the time they re-enroll.
Notice to Long-Term Disability Terminees (LTD Terminees)
LTD Terminees who are approved for LTD Benefits on or after January 1, 2027, will no longer have access to the Post-Employment Medical & Dental Benefits. Individuals who were approved for LTD Benefits prior to 1/1/2027 or have an LTD Benefit start date prior to 1/1/2027 will be grandfathered until they either commence a Sandia Pension Payment or become eligible for Medicare.
