Roll into your benefits...
Open Enrollment is October 31 - November 13, 2022
Here's what you’ll need to know:

Enrollment Window
Open Enrollment: Most elections will automatically carry forward for 2023 if you do not enroll. Tax-free spending elections and the Annual Leave Payout election will not automatically renew. See Enrollment Guide for details.
New Hires: You have until the 20th of the month following your hire date to enroll. If you do not enroll, you will not be able to choose benefits until our next Open Enrollment.

Medical and Prescription Changes
SwedishAmerican (UWNI) associates whose primary insurance is with SwedishAmerican (under either the 80 Plan or the 80HD Plan) will not be eligible to elect the Wrap Plan.

Easier Evidence of Insurability Process
If you elect coverage during Open Enrollment that requires Evidence of Insurability (EOI), there is an easy process for that. Just visit the benefits portal after enrollment and use the Lincoln Financial EOI link directly from the homepage.

Review Your Voluntary Plan Options
Open Enrollment provides you a great opportunity to review all of your benefit options including voluntary benefits. Take this time to review your options such as Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, ID Theft Protection, Home and Auto coverage and Legal Insurance.
What's New and Changing

UW Madison Tier Change
Effective Jan. 1, 2023, The University of Wisconsin Madison facilities and providers will now be listed as Tier one providers. You will receive the highest level of insurance reimbursement when you visit UW Health Madison, which is the same coverage at UW Health Northern Illinois.

Contribution Change
UW Health Northern Illinois will be increasing employee contributions for 2023. Please use this open enrollment period to log on and review your benefit elections and contributions (premiums).
Insurance premiums will be deducted from 25 pay periods instead of 26 to align pay dates with UW Madison. The paycheck paid on June 9, 2023 will be based on only one week of work, and will not include benefits premium deductions.

Tier 2 Preventive Care Change
The plan will now provide 100% coverage for preventive wellness services obtained from not only Tier one providers, but from Tier two providers as well.

Short Term Disability Change
Short Term Disability is now managed through The Hartford, which is the FMLA administrator as well. To file a FMLA and/or Short Term Disability claim, contact The Hartford at 877-674-8963.
