Benefits that fit

New partners. Same coverage.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Entergy will partner with new vendors for medical, pharmacy and dental benefits. By moving to an unbundled, best-in-class benefit model, we have created the opportunity to reinvest directly in you. We are in the process of evaluating ways to increase the value of our overall 2027 benefits offerings and look forward to sharing more throughout 2026.

What this means for you right now

  • Your Aetna coverage remains the same through 2026.
  • No action is required at this time.

This change will take effect Jan. 1, 2027, with the start of the new plan year. By leveraging specialized health benefit vendors, we anticipate that you will experience better network options while continuing to enjoy the same or better medical and dental provider discounts for the care you receive. You can also expect enhanced services and capabilities when accessing and utilizing your benefits.

Why Entergy is making this change

Entergy is committed to providing you with competitive benefit options. As part of this commitment, we regularly evaluate our health and wellness benefits, including those who administer benefits on our behalf. Our current administrator for medical, pharmacy and dental benefits is Aetna, but that will be changing for the 2027 plan year. This will not impact your selected benefits or providers throughout the remainder of 2026.

After a thorough review process, we have identified opportunities to enhance our self-funded medical, pharmacy and dental benefits. As a result, we will transition from our current bundled model with Aetna to a new best-practice model that uses specialized vendors for each benefit area. This change allows us to choose the partner that offers the greatest value and service for each benefit.

This is part of our ongoing efforts to optimize our benefit programs and provide the best possible experience for you, our valued employees and retirees.

What you can expect

Enhanced networks and services

These new benefit partners represent best-in-class administrators who were selected based on their ability to provide a better quality of service. You can expect:

  • Medical: a high-performance network and stronger discounts.
  • Pharmacy: drug cost transparency to better understand medication costs and identify lower cost alternatives.
  • Dental: a strong network and an innovative care model that improves access and overall oral‑health outcomes.

Greater flexibility and transparency

The unbundled model is a best practice and will give us greater flexibility to select best-in-class administrators that are the optimal fit for each benefit area. It will also provide enhanced transparency into the performance of each benefit vendor, allowing us to better manage service levels.

A managed transition

We are announcing this change early in the transition process to keep eligible employees, retirees and dependents informed. While the administrators are changing, you can expect to maintain your current benefit plan designs and coverage options. The transition will be well-coordinated and managed to ensure a straightforward experience for all. Throughout this year, we will provide more clarity and details as we move through the transition.

Support and next steps

We are committed to open communication and support throughout the transition. You can expect ongoing updates, informational sessions and additional resources to help you understand the transition to the new partners.
