Medical plan changes

For 2027, Wolters Kluwer is updating its medical options to provide clearer choices and support a range of healthcare needs. Whether you prioritize lower paycheck contributions, HSA savings opportunities, broader provider access or lower costs when receiving care, each plan is designed to offer a different combination of costs, coverage and provider access.

Because costs, coverage levels and provider access vary across plans, it’s important to review all your available options before enrolling.

Have questions?

Sofia can help you find information about your 2027 benefits.

Try asking:

  • What is the difference between the EPO and PPO?
  • How do the Basic HSA and HSA Plus plans compare?
  • What does an out-of-pocket maximum mean?
  • Which plans include a Wolters Kluwer HSA contribution?

  • What happens to my current medical plan?

Understand your costs

As you compare your medical plan options, look beyond payroll deductions and consider the total cost of coverage, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and your expected health care needs throughout the year.

Medical plan payroll contributions

The amount you pay for medical coverage will change in 2027. Your cost will depend on the medical plan and coverage level you choose. Review the 2027 contribution rates and consider both your per-paycheck cost and what you may pay when you receive care.

Keep in mind: A plan with lower payroll deductions may require you to pay more when you receive care. Compare payroll deductions, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance before making your election.

Prescription drug updates

Beginning in 2027, covered weight-loss GLP-1 medications will have a separate copay under the PPO and EPO plans

If you currently use a GLP-1 medication for weight loss, review your prescription drug coverage and consider how these costs may affect your plan enrollment decision.

Beginning January 1, 2027, for covered weight-loss GLP-1 medications:

• $200 retail copay

• $600 mail-order copay

This separate copay applies only under the PPO and EPO plans.

Understand your network options

Your medical plan choice and where you live determine the provider network available to you. Because provider participation varies by network, understanding each plan’s network is an important part of comparing your options.
