Adoption Assistance

At AEP, family is important. That’s why we support families going through the adoption process. We provide financial assistance to any full-time, regular employee by reimbursing up to $5,000 of eligible, adoption-related expenses per child.

Reimbursable expenses include:

  • Agency and placement fees,
  • Court costs and attorney fees,
  • Travel expenses including but not limited to amounts spent for meals, lodging, and other expenses directly related to the transportation of the newly adopted child,
  • Temporary care expenses incurred for the adopted child during the transportation period, and
  • Other expenses relating to local custom and country of child's origin.

Educational Assistance

AEP offers educational assistance to support the career development of employees.

All active full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate in this benefit to enhance their skills and excel in their careers. As part of the program, eligible full-time employees can receive an annual reimbursement limit up to $5,250 per calendar year for all degree programs or certifications. For those pursuing advanced degrees such as Master's or Doctoral degrees, an additional reimbursement of up to $2,250 is available, with a total annual reimbursement limit not exceeding $7,500. Part-time employees can benefit from an annual reimbursement limit of $2,625 per calendar year for all programs.

A few of the features include:

  • Debt-free grant opportunities,
  • Reimbursement for some company-related professional exams, certificates, and certification programs for up to $5,250 each year,
  • One-on-one academic advising and counseling services,
  • Access to textbook rental discounts, and
  • Edcor's Preferred School Network which provides discounts on tuition from hundreds of colleges and universities.

To log in to Edcor's portal, your User ID is your Employee ID (EEID), which can be found in Workday under View Profile. If it's your first time logging in, your password will be your five-digit home zip code. If you have trouble logging in, select "Forgot your password?" and the site will guide you through resetting your password.

Emergency Disaster Relief Fund

To improve our ability to help those in need, AEP, with the help of concerned employees, established the AEP Emergency Disaster Relief Fund. The fund provides a vehicle for the company and our employees to support each other and dependent family members who suffer losses as a result of disasters and tragedies. In such critical times, the fund will provide grants up to $3,000 for food, shelter and other basic needs. Additionally, up to 10% of the fund may be distributed annually to qualified charitable organizations engaged in meeting emergency needs. Employee Discount Programs

As an AEP employee you may be eligible for discounts offered by local merchants or businesses in your community. Log in to AEP Now and click on the A-Z Index to find more information.

Matching Gift Program

Through the Matching Gift Program, AEP provides financial assistance and support to institutes of higher learning. All full-time and probationary employees, retirees, and non-employee directors are eligible for the program, which matches charitable contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Memorial Tributes

As an expression of sympathy and support to co-workers and friends during a time of loss, AEP will donate a memorial tribute for the funeral of a deceased employee, deceased member of an employee’s immediate family, or a deceased retiree.

Service Awards

AEP partners with OC Tanner celebrating employee milestone service anniversaries. When employees reach certain milestone service anniversaries, they’ll receive a personalized printed Yearbook in addition to any service awards that come with select milestones, such as gifts. Every five years, employees will be recognized with a Yearbook, and starting on the 10th year anniversary, Yearbooks will also include comments and pictures from peers and leaders. Every decade year, employees will also be eligible for an anniversary gift (year 25 is also eligible for an award). Log in to AEP Now and click on the A-Z Index to find more information.
