Two New Medical Plans

We believe in giving you choice when it comes to your medical plans. That’s why we’re introducing two new medical plan options: HealthSavings INN and Copay plans. You must use in-network providers only with these two plans. The HealthSavings INN plan will be HSA eligible.*

The Copay Plan features set copays for certain services, and all other aspects are based on the PPO $1,000 plan design.
The HealthSavings INN plan includes a higher deductible with lower employee payroll deducted premium, with all other elements following the structure of the HealthSavings OAP HDHP plan.

*Not eligible for employer HSA contribution.

How We Refer to Your Spending Accounts is Changing

Starting January 1, 2025, your Spending Accounts will transition from being called Reimbursement Accounts to Flexible Spending Accounts.

Healthcare Reimbursement Account (HCRA) will now be Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA)
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA) will now be Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)

New Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account

We will be adding a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) for participants enrolled in the HealthSavings INN, HealthSavings LP, and HealthSavings OAP plans. This account allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover eligible dental and vision expenses.

Voluntary Benefits

New Benefits: Legal Plan and Identity Theft

Two new plans, ID and Fraud Protection and Legal, are being added as voluntary options. When you choose to participate in these programs, the amount you pay is based on group price and may be less than what you would pay separately. Both of the new programs are offered through MetLife and require a one-year commitment.

The ID and Fraud protection plan provides services and insurance if you were to become a victim of ID theft. The benefits of the program include bank and credit monitoring, password management, and up to $1 million in ID theft protection.
The Legal plan offers access to a network of attorneys for a variety of services including estate planning, real estate services, and discounted rates on other services.

New Paid Caregiver Leave (PCL)

As of 1/1/2025, up to two weeks of Paid Caregiver Leave (PCL) will be available to U.S. colleagues who need time off to care for ailing family members. PCL is not an extension of Paid Parental Leave (PPL). Employees applying for PCL must have one year of service at the time of the event, and the request must meet the FMLA qualifications.

Confide Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We are enhancing our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with the Confide Behavioral Health Navigator Tool. This innovative resource simplifies the process of finding mental health support, helping employees navigate their care journey effectively. Key features of the Confide tool include:

24/7 connection via chat or telephone for immediate support.
Unlimited sessions of 45-60 minutes with a dedicated licensed clinician.
Up to 10 counseling sessions per issue at no cost to employees.
24/7 access to coaching support via text.
Digital self-guided tools to help manage stress and build resilience.
Care provided within 48 hours of reaching out.

Enhanced Behavioral Health

All employees and their family members enrolled in a medical plan will have access to additional behavioral health resources.

New Tools to Help You Enroll

MyChoice benefits app

The MyChoice benefits app lets you upload documents, view coverage details, submit claims reimbursement, change your benefits, and more. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and log in using your Bechtel credentials to get started.

Sofia, Your Personal Benefits Assistant

Ask Sofia! Think of her like your virtual benefits assistant. She’s available to talk 24/7, and can be found anywhere your benefits choices are. Ask her a question, and she’ll point you in the right direction.

Decision Support Tool

When you use the decision support tool, you simply answer a few questions about your overall health and lifestyle and receive suggested benefit plans. If you like what you see, easily enroll in your recommended plans. You can review or edit at any point.
