Supporting Your Well-Being

World mental health day: wanting to feel better is enough

You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis, or the perfect words to want things to feel better. October 10 was World Mental Health Day, and this year Intel is encouraging you to lean into the idea that wanting to feel better is, on its own, a good enough reason to do something about it. As a reminder, your Spring Health benefit is available any day of the year, not just October 10. Spring Health provides confidential mental health care for you and your dependents, with same or next-day appointments and no referral needed. Start at the benefits.springhealth.com, call 1-800-568-9276, or download the Spring Health app.

Suicide Prevention

Sometimes, “I’m fine” means exactly that. Other times, it can mean, “I don’t know how to explain what I’m feeling,” or “I don’t want to burden anyone.” And sometimes, it’s simply the easiest answer. Taking the time to check in can make it easier to say more—or to say, “I really am fine.”

988 has been designated as the three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors. They will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support and connect them to resources if necessary.

For information contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
