Enroll or Waive Within 31 Days!
As a new hire, if you don’t take action, you’ll be auto-enrolled in medical coverage—and won’t be able to make changes unless you have a qualifying life event.
Action Required
You must enroll or waive benefits within 31 days of your hire date. If you don’t take action:
- You’ll be automatically enrolled in the Aetna POS medical plan (single coverage at the single rate).
- No changes can be made unless you experience a qualifying life event or wait until the next Open Enrollment period.
Who is Eligible for Benefits?
Employees
You're eligible to enroll in Almac's health benefits if you’re a full-time employee working at least 30 hours per week.
When your coverage starts:
- Your elective benefits begin the first of the month after (or on) your hire date.
- Company-paid benefits begin the first of the month on or after you’ve completed 3 months of employment.
Dependents
You can cover the following eligible dependents:
- Your legally married spouse
- Your child(ren) up to age 26: this includes biological children, stepchildren, legally adopted children, and those placed in your home for adoption or legal guardianship. You can also cover a child if required by a Qualified Medical Child Support Order or court order.
- Children with disabilities: If your child becomes physically or mentally incapable of self-support before turning 26—and is already covered under the plan—they can remain on your coverage after age 26. You'll need to provide certification of their condition within 31 days of their 26th birthday, and periodic recertification may be required.

Need to Make Changes Later?
After you enroll, you can only make changes if you experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) such as:
- Marriage or divorce
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Loss or gain of other coverage
- A dependent turning age 26

🔲 Verify Dependents: Submit documents if you're adding a spouse or child.
