WELCOME ... WE'RE EXCITED THAT YOU'RE PART OF OUR TEAM
As you bring your talents and contributions to Mondelez Canada (MDLZ), it's important that your health and welfare coverages and retirement benefits are designed to support your diverse needs so you can be your best self—The Right You—at work, home, and in your community.
MDLZ offers you coverage options and benefits—categorized as HEALTH, MONEY, and MORE—through two programs:
- The Mondelēz Canada Flexible Benefits Program (Flexible Benefits Program); and
- The Mondelez Canada Inc. Retirement and Savings Program (Retirement and Savings Program).
Both programs are designed to:
- Strengthen your overall health and financial well-being.
- Support three well-being pillars at MDLZ—Mind, Body, and Connection—so you can be The Right You.
- Be cost-effective for you and sustainable for the Company.
- Empower you to choose coverages and make retirement savings-related decisions that are best for you and your family.
Key information about your Flexible Benefits Program and Retirement and Savings Program is included across this Benefits Made Right site.
Your Enrolment Window You have an enrolment window for the Flexible Benefits Program
It’s your responsibility to ensure you make your Optional coverage elections under the Flexible Benefits Program, including those for any dependent coverages, within your 31-day enrolment window. As long as you do, the Optional coverages you elect and the Company-paid Core coverages that you receive take effect on your date of hire (except if any evidence of good health is required). If you don’t complete your enrolment for Optional coverages within the 31-day period, your eligible dependents won’t be covered. And, you’ll default to the Core coverages plus Basic Health and Basic Dental coverages for you only. These default coverages will remain in effect for you for the remainder of the current year (unless you experience a qualified life event).
Additionally, if you don't enrol within the 31-day period and name a beneficiary for your Core Life Insurance coverage, a death benefit will be paid to your estate in the event of your death.
You have an enrolment window for the Retirement and Savings Program
Make your Retirement and Savings Program elections within 30 days of your eligibility date (90 days if you’re an hourly employee at East York or Scarborough). Your eligibility date is 30 days (90 days if you’re an hourly employee at East York or Scarborough) after your hire date. As long as you make your elections within your required 30-day (90-day) window, your voluntary contributions and Company matching contributions begin within two pay cycles after 30 days (90 days for hourly employees at East York and Scarborough) after your hire date. Note that your required contributions and required Company basic contributions automatically begin within two pay cycles after your hire date.
If you’re localizing from another country, your initial eligibility date is 30 days after your MDLZ Canada assignment date.

DECIDE WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU
Key questions to help you decide what will best support The Right You:
- What are the best Optional coverages under the Flexible Benefits Program for my situation?
- Given that MDLZ-sponsored Health coverage is designed to supplement my provincial health coverages, does it make sense for me to enrol in Basic or Enhanced Health coverage through MDLZ?
- Does it make more sense to enrol in Health and/or Dental coverage through my spouse’s/domestic partner’s employer (instead of through mine)?
- Who in my family do I need to cover?
- How should I use my Company-provided Flex Credits toward the Optional coverages available?
- To supplement the Company-paid Core coverages, do I need to elect any Optional coverages for myself and/or eligible family members (such as Optional Life Insurance, Optional Accidental Death and Dismemberment [AD&D] Insurance, and/or Critical Illness Insurance)?
- How can I better prepare and support my financial well-being by using the Retirement and Savings Program to the fullest?
